Personally, I think something a little off the beaten path is kind of nice...Maybe a picnic in the park.... or a day at the zoo...Dinner and movie is sooooo overdone!!!..Blah!..Not to mention you can't talk or get to know each other at the movies, right???..

Anything that engages and allows conversation...Restaurants and bars are fine but if you want to stand out to the girl/guy, try a new or fun bar/restaurant...If there is something you share in common that you already know about, keep that in mind...Like if you both said you love the beach or art work...Most important part about a first date is getting to know each other but if you want to score points, add a little flare...

I have had a fair few dates and although one was terrible. I was just not attracted at all to the guy. I actually really didnt like him at all. This was so hard as I knew it straight away. I didnt even want to talk to him. He was just a turn off and this was the hardest time ever as I still had to order and then eat with him lol..
..
But although I had one bad experience, most of the others have been great at restaurants...
..
You can really talk to the guy without being in a club when he is getting drunk and then you dont really know the real person. I like restaurants....
