I met this girl on the street very shortly; she is 20 I am forty. Today I walked by and she tried to avoid me; not as receptive as first time. I do..not like to approach her like a weirdo because of our age difference. I would like to meet her as a friend before we go any further. Any advise how should I approach her as not to scare her away...

I say just try to have a casual chat with her. There's no harm in that. But if you keep feeling a negative vibe from her I suggest you move on...
